Multimedia COntents and Tools for adaptive SCalable Interfaces

Objective

Although Europe as a whole possesses the richest artistic patrimony in the world, business-oriented services based on the most advanced Information Technology and Communication (ITC) are not widely used in this field. This huge amount of information has a straightforward, potential exploitation in the electronic market.

The main objective of MOTICS is to bridge the gap between the availability of cultural heritage contents and their exploitation by means of state-of-the-art technological solutions. The basic concept developed in MOTICS is that of adaptive and scalable interfaces, in terms of interactions paradigms, access to the network and multimedia contents. MOTICS will interpret the user's request, select and collect the proper data from the content repositories, and arrange them into a preformatted scenario (the interface) according to the user's profile.
