A New static Ventilation system Activated by Induced Air

Objective

The project aims at developing a new ventilation system for the collective or i ndividual housing, intermediary between natural draught and controlled mechanic al ventilation (CMV). The innovation lies in the use of a static inductor (s ystem with a nozzle and a Venturi pipe), controllable according to the needs. I f the principle is not new, its application to the air renewal in buildings was never carried out. The project aims to develop in two years three prototype s of equipment for uses in rehabilitation of multifamily apartments, individual houses, and school buildings. The technical studies of dimensioning and adapta tion to a given building, will be validated by laboratory tests and on real sit e. The performances obtained will make it possible to evaluate this technology and to put products on the market one to two years after the end of the project . Five SMEs joined to carry out this project: a manufacturer of ventilation systems (ASTATO - FR), two building design offices (PAZIAUD - FR and ARTEA - IT ), a manufacturer of ducts (FERIA - Pt) and a specialist in regulation (IEP - A T). The OPAC from Paris, organization which manages the social habitat of the c ity, provides a site and will follow the project as a potential user of this te chnology. The market of this new product in rehabilitation of old residences is very important in Europe, and will be drawn by the new requirements from pu blic health regarding air quality in the habitat.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
