Gewinnung elektrischer energie aus biomasse durch stirlingmotoren unter einbindung in fernw rmenetze

Objective

The following components for a biomass-fired combined heat and power plant will be developed and tested:
- a heat exchanger for a Stirling motor suitable for large amounts of hot gas - reduction of particulate emission by better control of the burning process - sintering of dust particles on hot dust collector surfaces - separation of particles in hot stack gas cyclones
The general aim is the development of a biomass-fired small-scale combined heat and power plant suitable for the integration of biomass as a regional energy source for district heating and electric power generation.

In this project components will be designed and built for a biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant based on a Stirling motor. These components are:
- conditioning of the stack gasses to avoid particulate emissions - a new heat exchanger for the Stirling motot
- dedicated control system
- automatic diagnose system.

The development work aims at a surveillance-free fully automatic installation suitable for a power range from 10 to 300 kW.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
