The project, named IMERSE 3D, aimed to develop an understanding of the inter- related processes occurring in the Mediterranean ridge. It would achieve this by interpreting three-dimensional (3D) seismic data to provide a high resolution, 3D geological model.
This project complements two contracts under the MAST programme - IMERSE I and MEDRIFF. Its overall objective was to process, model and interpret a three-dimensional grid of seismic reflection data acquired under IMERSE I. This data was collected from an area beneath the Mediterranean ridge.
