Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .
Deliverables
There are big differences between MARC formats due to 10 different cataloguing practices and needs. Conversions between MARC formats must depend on interpreting these differences and interpreting the local cataloguing rules.
The MARCconv uses a set of conversion tables for each set of two MARC formats to convert between. There is one table for control fields, one for variable fields, one table for fields where a choice of converting-to-tag must be made, one table for handling ISBD characters etc.
The software handles all sets of tables. The MARCconv is a software package that may be used as a stand-alone product or included in the ONE-2 Toolbox. There is no limit to the number of set of tables to be used.
Each set of tables must be defined by cataloguers knowing the cataloguing rules to be converted both from and to.
