The Internet revolution has created a new worldwide market for Information, where the main value is however not the information itself, but its management. The role of text classification and filtering techniques in this framework is fundamental, as only by being able to handle textual contents it becomes possible to find and exploit information buried in texts. The FACILE system provides an advanced concept based text classification, characterised by an high accuracy which overcome the limitations of classical statistical or keyword based search techniques, and enables direct access to information and a true multilingual document handling.
