This pilot project is to proof the feasability of the use of a biologically degradable cooling and lubricating agent (KSS) on the basis of a deister oil in precision grinding technology

Objective

Saving energy intensive material, saving energy for the production of 85,000 tons of petrol based lubricants each year. Avoiding envrionmental pollution at the point of its origin (eco audit). Saving costs for disposal of an amount of DM 11,9 million/year in Germany. By transferring these results to an EC scale, the outcome will at least triple this success according to rather prudential estimates.

This will finally lead to annual saving of approximatly 85,00 tons of petrol based lucriants according to DIN 51 385 in Germany alone, and there will be many positive effects on the process of petrol oil manufacturing, the cost for waste disposal, the treatment and the collection of critical waste as well as on the elimination of the possible health risks.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
