Objective
The objectives of the project are to validate a draft code of practice for notched bar creep testing prepared by the High Temperature Materials Testing Committee and to certify the existing creep test reference material (CRM 425) for use as creep rupture reference material.
Upon the basis of the results of an intercomparison of creep strain and creep rupture tests on CRM 425 involving up to 24 laboratories from the Member States of the European Union, 8 laboratories will be selected to validate a draft code of practice for notched bar creep testing.
The work programme includes intercomparisons of a creep test to 500 h at 160 MPa and 600 C, a creep rupture test at 600 C at a stress to give failure in approximately 1000 h and a notched bar tensile creep rupture test at 600 C at a stress selected to give failure at approximately 1000 h.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
