PINES. SELECTION OF P.RADIATA PLUS TREES IN EXISTING PLANTATIONS WILL BE SELECTED AND THE SEEDS COLLECTED. SEEDLINGS ARBORETA WILL BE ESTABLISHED FOR THE FOLLOWING INTER-AND INTRA-FAMILY SELECTION OF A POPULATION OF PARENT TREES, WHICH WILL BE BASED ON PROGENY TESTS. FOR THE OTHER PINES, ON 1-2 YEARS OLD SEEDLINGS, INTER - AND INTRA-POPULATIONS VARIATION AS ALSO PROGENIES PERFORMANCE WILL BE INVESTIGATED. AN ANALYSIS OF GENOTYPE-ENVIRONMENT RELATIONSHIP AND OF GENETIC VARIANCE AND HEREDITY WILL BE PERFORMED.
