POSSIBILITIES ASSESSMENT OF SUPPORTED LIQUID MEMBRANES FOR THE SEPARATION AND CONCENTRATION OF PRECIOUS METALS MOSTLY WITH REGARD TO ELOCTROLYTIC REFINING PROCESSES OF SILVER.
NITRIC ACID SOLUTIONS OF SILVER ELECTROLYTICALLY TREATED CONTAIN A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF IMPURITIES (COPPER AND TO A LESS EXTENT PLATINUM GROUP METALS INCLUDING PALLADIUM) AND IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE THEM TREATED PERIODICALLY.
WORK TO BE DONE WOULD BE AS FOLLOWS :
- SEPARATION AND CONCENTRATION OF THE SILVER : SELECTIVITY SILVER/COPPER; SILVER/COPPER/PALLADIUM; SILVER/COPPER/BASE METALS.
THE FORESEEN PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING STEPS
-RESEARCH OF THE BEST ADAPTED EXTRACTING SYSTEMS (EXTRACTION, STRIPPING, RATE OF METAL TRANSPORT)
- MEMBRANE PREPARATION
- CONSTRUCTION OF A SMALL CELL LABORATORY AND PRE-EVALUATION ON SYNTHETIC SOLUTIONS
- STUDY OF THE STABILITY AND THE STRENGTH OF MEMBRANE
- EVALUATION OF MEMBRANE PERFORMANCES (SUCH AS SELECTIVITY, LIFE TIME...) WITH INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS.
