TRANSFER OF BIOTECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS

Objective

Transfer of knowledge of biotechnological developments to relevant teachers and technicians by training and retraining in NL and other EC countries.

MAIN DOMAIN OF INNOVATION:

Training providers as innovative service centres. Industry,laboratories and job agencies request tailor made training for individual or groups.

TARGET GROUP(S):

Trainers/Instructors/Tutors. People at work. Unemployed adults. Laboratory technicians+academic researchers+trainers fromhospitals/universities/industry+those (re)entering labour market.

OPERATING CONTEXT:

Technology transfer. Raising qualifications. Industrial restructuring. Application courses+seminars, updating training+individual, contract education at request.

TECHNOLOGY:

Life science and technologies (incl. biotechnology, agricultural technology, biomedical technology). Industrial and materials technologies. Information and communication technologies. Biotechnological techniques in research, clinical chemistry and application laboratories.

INVOLVEMENT WITH ENTERPRISES:

Training institute-enterprise cooperation. Training consortia. Partnership with employers associations, trade unions, joint bodies.

INVOLVEMENT OF SOCIAL PARTNERS:

Funding by social partners. Joint social partnership steering/advisory groups. Funding by enterprises.

RESULTS:

Training programmes/courses for advanced technologies. Transferable models and concepts. Innovative training materials. Training programmes in novel/advanced biotechn. techniques:lectures, practical courses, computer programmes.
