Series 500 Mcfc Clean Power and Heat Cogeneration Compact Plant "First of a Kind"

Objective

The project, moving from the results obtained with previous experiences for each R&D stage completed by the partners ARI-PEP (MOLCARE 1), is amiied at the design, manufacturing and testing of a first of a kind pre-commercial plant. Main characteristics of the project are: the integration of the plant in a skid-mounted solution, the arrangement of the stacks, integrated reformers and catalytic burners inside a pressurised vessel, all other auxiliary systems installed on the same skid as the control systems and the power conditioning system. The selected configuration has been identified as the most promising for a strong cost reduction. The plant will present high efficiency, low environmental impact, easy adjustment to site and rapid load change response. The success of the project will give the chance of entering the market of on site energy production for low-medium size (from 500kW to some MW) with a plant, which is entirely based on European technology and fabrication capability.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)
