Creating a Network of Energy Experts in Local Communities

Objective

Local communities need to reduce their operating budget in order to lower the fiscal pressure on their residents. One of the best work opportunities is in the field of energy savings. This will allow local communities to hire energy managers and fund them from the savings made. However, the small and medium sized municipalities do not feel able to supervise these new employees. We propose the creation of an energy "Experts" network among local communities. This will allow local communities to monitor their buildings' energy consumptions and will lead to energy savings brought by the use of more efficient devices and a better management of the installations. Therefore a continuous effort is needed to inform them about energy efficiency measures and provide them with support how to implement these measures. We will help in the training and management of these employees in the field of energy.
