Objective
The major object of the proposed work is to achieve a breakthrough in utility solid fuel power generation by high efficiency Circulating Fluidised Bed (CFB) technology with supercritical (SC) steam parameters. An essential basis in reaching the goal is to adapt and develop existing and new innovations and advancements in CFB boiler technology. These innovations are the necessary premise when integrating and optimising once through OT sliding pressure steam cycle and large scale CFB boiler. Development of OTSC steam cycle for CFB technology will raise the efficiency up to 43-45 % depending on the condenser conditions and thus, it will increase power production efficiency by 10 to 15 % in CFB's. Use of renewables together with other fuels and the high power production efficiency with OTSC CFB will make it possible to decrease CO2 as well as other emissions by 15 to 25 % compared to conventional technologies.
