SUB SURFACE SAFETY VALVE FOR OPERATION AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURES

Objective

To design, manufacture and test a new Sub Surface Safety Valve System including the hydraulic medium with significantly higher temperature characteristics for reliable operations at elevated temperature and pressures.
Performance data for sub-surface control fluid and safety valve actuators.
Design and build of a facility to facilitate the development and validation of sub surface safety valve hydraulic system, including hydraulic system hardware and new fluids being developed for HP/HT wells. Manufacture of HP/HT valve actuator assemblies and hydraulic fluids. Testing of actuators and hydraulic fluids. Dissemination of results.
