The intended project will allow obtaining fish with a longer preservation of freshness. The research will focus on the utilisation of micronutrients with antioxidative action which will have to be tested, firstly in experimental diets in a laboratory scale, and afterwards in commercial diets, in fish farms. To obtain the special diets it will be developed one small production line (experimental).
The tests will be realized for the Atlantic Climatology and for the Mediterranean one, for the following species: seabass and seabream. Trout will also be tested. To assess the obtained results, validation tests in the farms and on the fish will be carried out. Exploitation will be supported by the standardisation of quality control procedures and the creation of designations of origin.
