Development of high-density, whole-genome microarrays of single nucleotide polymorphisms

Objective

A vast need has. arisen to learn about the genetic makeup of many people from different populations. The participants intend to develop tools, DNA chips, more specifically, that will analyse thousands of DNA markers at a time. These tools will provide invaluable information about the functions of (pathways of) genes. We plan to develop such chips to the extent that they will function in a robust, user-friendly way, at a cost affordable to a wider market. The latter will be post-genomics biotech and pharma companies, and regional genetical studies centres.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
