Employment of persons with developmental disabilities: vocational mobility and social inclusion (VOMASI)

Objective

The main objective is to bring together a group of leading European experts, among them researchers, methodologists and decision makers in the area of Employment of Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PEDD). The group will review and compare current policies (such as supported, transitional and sheltered employment) for promoting vocational mobility, rehabilitation and training of PEDD in Europe, and will build an innovative research proposal for analysing policies and strategies to enhance upward vocational mobility and social inclusion of PEDD. These objectives will be accomplished by literature review, identify vocational rehabilitation policies, secondary analysis of existing statistics, and preliminary comparative policy analysis of EU communities.
