Objective
This proposal concerns the 4^th international ICGHP conference held at UNESCO in Paris: "Global Health Equity: Medical Progress and Quality of Life in the Exist Century". The ICGHP is a non- profit, non-partisan, interdisciplinary organisation founded in Europe in 1992. Its mission is to promote a scientific approach to assess new health needs, to outline possible solutions to forthcoming health issues and to contribute to the improvement of strategies and policies concerning health status, safety and Sol. The conference focuses on the intersections and dependencies between:
1. A critical assessment of the advances in science and technology which aim to protect and improve health, safety and Sol.
2.The consequences of this progress on global health policies: - Sol and healthcare costs - The influence of strategies for Health Prevention and Protection on economic growth - Growing expectations on the part of the public with regards to health and health-related issues, and the increasing influence of patients and healthy individuals on new health policies.
3. A search for equity: Can medical progress be made available to all individuals and all nations?
