The development of ethical bio-technology assessment tools for agriculture and food production

Objective

The objective of this project is to develop and improve tools for the ethical assessment of new technologies in agriculture and food production in general and modern biotechnogies in particular. The project thus responds to the plurality of consumer concerns that increasingly informs the European public debate on agriculture and food production. The primary achievement of the project will bathe availability of three ethical (bio) technology assessment tools (i.e. ethical decision-making frameworks, consensus conferences and benchmarking) to facilitate opinion-formation and decision-making by governmental and non-governmental regulators, citizens/consumers and their organisations, and economic actors in agriculture and food production.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
