The Role Tissue Transglutaminase in Inducing Gluten T Cell Response and Autoantibody Formation in Coeliac Disease

Objective

Deamidation and transamidation activities of tTG are measured and the influence of tTG autoantibodies is determined. Gluten-tTG complexes are applied to investigate the role of cognate T/B cell interaction for the formation of tTG autoantibodies. An in vitro murine system, a murine adoptive transfer model and an in vitro human system will be used.
