New extraction process for phytoprotectants from ecologic cultivation of fruits and vegetables

Objective

To give producers of organically-grown fruit and vegetable the chance to increase their value added margin tenfold for a part of their raw products and to provide the European consumer with foods with preventive medicinal properties, the following project goals are to be pursued. To investigate and develop the technical, process-related general conditions for a new process for producing phytoprotectants directly at the site of the fruit and vegetable producer's. To investigate and develop primary products that make use of these phytoprotectants, e.g. in nutraceuticals, taking particular account of the nutritional and health needs of the European consumer.
