Development of single and multi-analyte affinity sensors for rapid detection of androgen residues in live and post-mortem animals

Objective

This is an ambitious project that aims to develop new technologies in the field of biosensors. Specifically it will develop electrochemical affinity biosensors for inexpensive detection of residues of anabolic ally active residues in meat producing animals and in carcasses following slaughter . This is an innovative approach to developing sensitive, effective, fast and easy to use biosensors. The proposed sensors would allow widespread screening of animals and animal products before entry into the human food chain thus facilitating the implementation of EU directives on consumer protection.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
