Objective
Tomato contains limonene that has proved to prevent for instance prostate cancer. Limonene content is smaller in fresh than processed tomatoes. The main objective of the project is to develop 3-4 ingredients by extracting limonene enriched compounds from tomato pressing residue - skin and seeds. Partner Sees develop 4-6 functional foods by adding these ingredients to foods. The ingredients are sold to food industry to be developed to different foods and food is launched to marks. To reach main objective w we have to:
1. To develop concentrates that contains limonene and other beneficial compounds.
2. Develop analysing and extracting method and method of degradation of limonene in all phase of developing and marketing process.
3.Study the stability of properties of products and amount of added to products
4. To study they bioavailability of developed ingredients and foods.0
5. Make plans to launch new products to markets and protect IPR
