Folates: analysis, bioavailability and health - international conference

Objective

Funding is requested for an International Conference on foliates organised. The topic is relevant to Kale: Food Nutrition and Health; KA6 (healthy ageing), & generic activities under Chronic and Degenerate Diseases (7) & Research into the Genome (8). It provides a forum for participants from EU & NAS to discuss common interests & identify opportunities for co-operation, training and exchange. Funding is specifically requested for dissemination of the proceedings, assistance for the active participation of established researchers & Sees representatives from less favoured regions, & to support the attendance of young researchers/students & encourage their interaction with established scientists. Benefits include pan-European co-operation, additional academic-industrial links & better understanding of foliate research at an interdisciplinary level; strengthen the research base & promoting career opportunities.
