Objective
The Italian Human Nutrition Society (SINU) is organising the 9th European Nutrition Conference in Rome, on October lest-4th 2003, on behalf of FENS and in collaboration with EANS. The conference will focus on the changes in the European food system and their impact on present and on future health of people living in Europe. The meeting will have sessions on health and food, will discuss basic science and applications, and will be a forum for exchanges between scientists, industry, governments, international organisations, consumers' groups. The meeting might become an opportunity to present and discuss the achievements of EU funded projects in nutrition (Framework V), as well as to discuss the EU research policy on health, agro-industrial production, the environment (Framework VI) and its relationship with the research policy of member states.
