Objective
This project will organise a top-level scientific workshop to:
1. Identify obstacles to an appropriate interface between risk assessment and risk management in decision-making.
2. Recommend ways of improving the interface between risk assessment and risk management, including novel scientific approaches and the research required to develop them. The results will be applicable to many areas of decision-making, including all types of health and environmental risks. The project is relevant to risk-related thematic priorities in all of Key Actions 1-5. Priority is given to Key Action 1 because of the special relevance of the project to the establishment of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
