Objective
The project aims to organise a 3-day workshop with 80-100 participants to review the present state of the knowledge in the field of cellular targeting of bioactive molecules. This multidisciplinary workshop wishes to bring together scientists of different background (biochemist, immunologist, molecular biologist, pharmacologist, chemist) and colleagues from academia and industry. Special emphasis will be given to attract young PhD students and post-docs. The program covers new fundamental approaches linked to the development of new therapeutic strategies including vaccines or drugs:
a) cellular uptake mechanisms,
b) target structures,
c) conjugation chemistry and molecular biology for targeting constructs, d) targeting modalities (e.g. viral/scavenger/mannose receptor, antigen-antibody, MHC-legend interaction or integrand), e) cell penetrating peptides. Lectures (30 invited selected) and poster presentations are planned.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
