Anaerobic methane oxidation: exploring a new biological process

Objective

Anaerobic CH_4 oxidation is a poorly understood but vital part of the global carbon cycle. This proposal combines novel molecular biology/microbiology techniques to isolate and characteristics bacteria responsible for this unique process and provides important information for anaerobic biotechnological processes with wide applicability in the EC.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
