BIOPHOTONICS 2000 - Harnessing light for life sciences

Objective

Young researchers, primarily from the EU countries and Central and Eastern European countries, will interact with senior scientists from leading research teams which have shaped the research.

Although the multidisciplinary scientific aspect of the theme is quite demanding the conference will be open to audiences from scientific, technological and medical environments and special care will be taken that the plenary lectures make a serious effort to bridge possible knowledge gaps among the members of the audience. In the free presentations part of the program already reviewed by the international steering committee, novel work of leading European groups in the biomedical area will be presented.

An extended poster session will also give the opportunity to younger scientists, engineers and medical doctors to exchange novel ideas and techniques that may be transferred from one field to the other.
