Objective
The research project foresees the development of new molecular entities based onmetal-labeled peptides and peptidomimetics able to target with high affinity and selectivity receptor sites overexposed in human tumours. The receptors identified as the most attractive targets for the engineering of novel diagnostic tools are cholecystokinin and foliate. The new molecules will be used as diagnostic probes in nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging depending upon the coordinated metal. The development of prototype contrast agents suitable for clinical diagnosis costumers in humans is the final goal.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
