Characterization of glycoslation structures of pharmaceutical proteins produced in plants with dna-microarrays and glycoprotein fingerprinting

Objective

The effects of glycosylation of proteins are gaining more and more importance, e.g. requirements. Numerous production techniques of recombinant proteins as drugs are developed at the moment. The quality for the pharmaceutical effect of those drugs is often dependent on the glycosylation status. Therefore a constantglycosylation is most crucial and needs to be monitored. Healthcare Technologies has developed a system and reliable method of glycosylation fingerprinting. Phytowelt is working on the production of recombinant proteins in plants and normal profiling by coda micro arrays. To access the utility of this production system both companies aim to evaluate the compatibility of their diagnostic systems to develop a safe and cost efficient production method combined with a method to monitor product quality and reliability in a cost efficient way.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
