Objective
The candidate is a very high calibre chemist, extremely able to synthesise novel organic compounds and having an outstanding record of high productivity. She has an excellent analytical mind and a very good understanding of structure-activity analysis. She has developed a sound appreciation of pharmacology and this will be much extended by the proposed work and training in the host institution where she will be exposed to the principles, techniques, and applications of molecular biology, cell biology, and molecular pharmacology. This is a perfect combination for future scientists involved in interdisciplinary research; to combine the skills of chemistry and biology. The candidate is known to me through regular meetings for discussing a joint research project during the past four years.
