Objective
BARTOLO is a European solving initiative directed to the acquaintance of knowledge about the unusual tolerance of a Pseudomonas putrid strain to solvents with logo around 2.5 and the exploitation of this property, together with the easy genetic manipulation of the micro organism, to synthesize a range of fine chemicals using the two- liquid-phase bio transformation technology. BARTOLO will also consider the scale up of the processes together with downstream processing and safety. Therefore, BARTOLO will cover the complete development of biotechnological process using two-phase biotransformations from molecular biology to product recovery.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
