Cardiovascular angiography with digital imaging detectors low doses diagnostic system for in vivo cardiological imaging

Objective

CANDID aims to new clinical standards for diagnosis and interventions of peripheral and cardiovascular diseases, by implementing a new digital angiographies system of proprietary design, based on direct electronics devices. It will sensibly reduce contrast media use and radiation dose to patients and staff, retaining superior image quality. Embedded are original electronics devices, withD.S.A. Integrated in the original custom circuits, operating single photon counting. The new read-out and entire C-arm systems will undergo evaluation at hospital, after animal angioplasty and peripheral angiographies with new protocols for contrast media and irradiation doses versus angiographies projections. Hundreds of coronary artery diagnostic interventions will be performed. The result of large clinical trials will bring the new digital machine to the market. CANDID will nurture 3 Sees of which two are new Start Up in the field of Nan technologies.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
