Objective
The proposal presented pursues to stimulate the participation of young European researchers and scientists from the Associated States to the 18th Meeting of the European Society of Animal Cell Technology, to be celebrated in Granada, Spain, in May 2003. This meeting is at the present one of the most important meetings on this technology, receives about 700 delegates, with about 500 Europeans. The main companies and scientist in the field are well represented. In addition of up-date lectures on Animal cell technology and its applications to the production of biopharmaceutical products, drug discovery programmes, cell and gene therapies, the meeting will offer an intensification on the impact of geophysics in this area including a crush course on these techniques, especially dedicated to the young researchers attending the meeting.
