Objective
The number of allergic persons and accompanying costs of treatment increase every year. So there is a real need for an innovative, cost effective diagnostic system for allergens. The proposed project aims to develop a new, well-defined and standardized test for allergy screening which is able to provide rapid results with sufficient accuracy in a general practitioner's environment, i.e. without the need for clinical laboratory equipment or expertise. The objectives of this project are: to develop a multipurpose test kit, with the aid of which a general practitioner could perform a simple procedure
- i.e. without the need of a clinical laboratory
- to support his allergy diagnosis; To supply back up service through quality assurance and confirmation testing in an expert laboratory environment.
