Objective
The project addresses a totally new concept in textile treatment: non-toxic treatment at substantially reduced cost with virtually no hazardous waste. Risk of the Project is quite high but will be well estimated during the exploratory phase as it is justified by a significantly reduced cost of the treatment and unimproved quality of the products. The indirect benefits are: improved quality of the treated textiles, improved working conditions for the European workers who are in contact with treated fabrics. A return on investment is 1.5 years following the implementation of commercial exploitation. The major idea behind the method into builds a novel plasma system for textile treatment (no similar system currently exists). Technology validation to a wider groups of Sees along with process development will need after 1.5 years after completion of the research project and a further period of 1.5-2 years prior to manufacturing and commercial exploitation of the new technology.
