Fcepsilonri-beta gene: identification of regulatory elements and analysis of the effect of genetic variability.

Objective

FcepsilonRI-beta gene confers susceptibility to asthma and allergy. However, it is not known how gene expression is regulated, what are the controlling elements and what the actions of genetic variants in inducing disease. The elucidation of these mechanisms represents the final goal of the project.
