Objective
The objective of the Policy Interpretation Network on Children's Health and Environment is to create a basis for public health policy related to improving children's environ. Health in Europe and regulatory needs to achieve that goal. 4 hems ((indoor) airplay. carcinogens, noise, neurotoxicants) will link findings (exposure ass. epidemiology, toxicology, risk ass. data, socio- economic impact) from EU-funded and other studies to policy issues (standard setting, source control). Stakeholders (research, consumers, industry, NGO) will deliver in working groups and annual conferences. Results will be spread via website, conference, national contacts of the EU. The proposal will focus on assessment of the public earth impact associated with study findings, on assessment of potential consequences of such impacts for the level of current environmental quality directives related to children, and on assessment of further policy consequences.
