Method of intensively cultivating organically superior agricultural crops

Objective

To investigate methods of utilising waste materials such as cardboard straw and plastics for the cultivation under controlled environment of a wide range of crops. The final outcome will be a method of producing a sterilised growing medium within a sealed environmental bag, which will then be used to produce mushrooms and other crops. As these bags are suspended they provide a multi surface growing area, which can be mechanically rotated to provide flow-line production conditions such as humidity, and temperature with in each bag can be monitored and controlled.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)
