Objective
The research project aims at the realization of technologically innovative silkworm rearing systems for the production of high-quality cocoons. The research foresees the carrying out of a biological and biochemical study on mulberry plants as well as on their growing process. Furthermore, thanks to the innovative systems of the plants, machines and equipment mentioned in the project, the silkworm rearing companies will be able to completelyautomatize the silkworm rearing development phases and at the sometime to significantly reduce labour costs, increase productivity and offer a competitive product on the world silk market.
