Objective
The clearouts mushrooms growing has been doing for 15 years, first in Italy and successively in France and in other European countries, but the growing process still remains the traditional one. A positive project's result will improve the competitiveness of edible mushroom's Sees and will increase the European market of edible mushrooms. The main project's objective is to develop and to try an innovative process for the continuous sterilization of solid substrata (straw) for the edible mushrooms' production (mainly clearouts, but also other valuable clearouts species). Other important project's results for the environment and for the health will be:
-to recycle an high quantity of waste straw from the local farms,
-to reuse substratum as fertiliser in the nursery-gardening growing; alternately, to reuse the straw for the internal requirements of energy of the new process;
-to eliminate the use of fungicide. SME Propose gained know-how and developed and tested a very important and exclusive growing mushrooms plant, but the project's objectives also require some other competencies at European level.
