Development of a range of light filtrating coloured nets improving fruits quality and production

Objective

Fruit growers, in order to improve general quality of their production have to use several techniques (pruning, thinning and use of plant growth regulators) that have both impacts on their costs and on environment. The aim of the project is to develop shading nets that will allow a control on light spectrum by filtration. This control of light is foreseen to have a direct influence on the plant growth and will help fruit maturation and enhance their quality. Moreover, this technique will be user friendly and will provide fruit growers with a powerful tool to improve easily the quality of their production without any direct impact on the environment.
