Engineering cowpea mosaic virus-derived replicons for the expression of heterologous peptides and proteins in plants

Objective

The aim of this project is to use virus-based systems which combine the advantages of viral vectors (e.g. high yield) with those of stable genetic transformation (e.g. no size limits on the protein expressed) as a novel approach to the high level expression of heterogonous proteins in plants
