Objective
The first phase of the network will focus primarily on stocktaking on - what is existing in the various institutes in terms of methodology (quantitative models, conceptual knowledge, etc.), data, and insights from previous studies, - what is know (in and outside the institutes) about the issues on which the network will focus, - identification and definition of scope of interaction with other networks and partner institutes, (e.g. work on EuroMed will include building links with research institutes in the MENA region). The second phase of the network will: - analyse information and the development of conceptual and methodological issues needed to address the key issues, - integrate data sources and models between the institutes, - compile a set of alternative scenarios on trade agreements and EU structural changes and EU policies. The third phase will focus on: - interpreting results of the modelling work, - deriving and discussing policy implications. The final phase will be devoted to the dissemination of results: - the overall results of the network will be presented in a public conference with significant outside participation - a series of seminars will be organized by the participating institutions in their countries to further disseminate the key insights of the network to local audiences.
