Habitat choice and preferences of cetaceans in the western Ligurian Sea: insights through telemetry and satellite imagery

Objective

Investigation of the habitat use and preferences of cetaceans living in the Western Ligurian Sea, by correlating their presence with satellite derived data and other environmental parameters. Foraging behaviour and migratory movements will also be investigated through the use of satellite telemetry. The provided information will be used for the management and conservation of these mammals in heavy anthropic habitats.
