Objective
This is a descriptive project designed to assess the state of the art knowledge concerning the impact of age-related nutrition issues as a priority determinants for the forthcoming EU public health activities. The main aim of this proposal is to focus on the analysis on the different types of dietary patterns promoting health and reducing the risk of the most common degenerative diseases and to examine the possibility of implementation of evidence based nutritional guidelines at the EU as well as the Country level. The project will deliver brief reports on relevant results from research in 6 Member States together with an overview setting the base of a workshop for scientists and policy makers. The pooling and the dissemination of existing data across Member States will ensure the requested EU added value acting as a reference for the improvement of QOL and health status of old people.
