Development and assessment of beta-globin episomal vectros for gene therapy of the haemoglobinopathies.

Objective

Development of self-Replicating Episcopal Vectors based on EBV and SV-40, carrying beta-globing gene and regulatory elements required for its expression. Assessment of vector retention and the exogenous ss-globin expression in long- term cultures, with and without drug selection.
