Objective
This proposal is aimed at creating the Centre of Excellence at the IFTR in Warsaw, in the multi-disciplinary area of applied and theoretical modelling and designing in the modern biomechanical and bioengineering research. Three complementary areas of activity in co-operation with leading European research centres are planned: fundamental and application-oriented research, education and training, and inter-action with R&D centres as well as with clinical centres. The doctoral and post-doctoral studies will be organised and supported by advanced courses, summer schools, specialised workshops and seminars delivered by scientists from EU. The networking programme will provide the possibility of research visits, generation of joint research projects and implementation of the results in technology. The Centre will disseminate best practices of EU centres and R&D results in Poland and stimulate joint research with industrial R&D centres.
